NAEC (NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF EPILEPSY CENTERS):

NAEC is a non-profit association with a membership of more than 230 specialized epilepsy centers in the United States. NAEC published its first iteration of its Guidelines for Essential Services, Personnel, and Facilities in Specialized Epilepsy Centers in 1990. The Association continues its work to develop standards of care and promote their adoption by epilepsy centers through its accreditation program. NAEC pursues an active agenda, educating public and private insurers, policymakers, and government officials about the complexities of and need for patient access to specialized epilepsy services.

The “Find a Doctor” database is produced by AES as reference of professional information on individual providers.  They are intended to provide the public with quick access to information on professionals who are members of the Society.

ECOE (EPILEPSY CENTERS OF EXCELLENCE) FOR VETERANS:

The VA Epilepsy Centers of Excellence (ECoE) are a network of 16 sites that provide comprehensive epilepsy evaluation and care for Veterans with seizure disorders. To improve the care of Veterans nationwide, ECoE partner with a consortium of VA physicians, nurses, therapists, pharmacists and other allied healthcare providers with interest and expertise in improving the health and well-being of Veteran patients with epilepsy.
